The course: the alphabet of notation
Read a formula
Paste a formula, or build it with the symbol pad, and it is read to you in words. The reading is made by fixed rules, so the same formula always gives the same words, and it works without the internet.
Where a formula can be read in more than one way (|x|, (a, b), f(x), the d in dx …) the reader picks one by a rule and shows you the other readings.
The Persian readings are drafts: an AI helper wrote them and no native speaker has checked them yet. If one sounds wrong, tell us.
Type or paste a formula above and it is read here.
The formula
In words
More than one way to read this
These parts can mean different things. The reader chose one reading by a rule; the others are listed so that you can check which one the author meant.
Piece by piece
Each piece of the formula, and how it is said. Smaller pieces are indented.
