This page says what the site stores and what it does not. It is written from the code of the site.
No Accounts
There are no accounts and no sign-in. The site does not ask for an e-mail address or a password. A name typed on a study card stays on the device.
What Stays On Your Device
Progress and preferences are kept in the browser of your device, in local storage and in the browser's own database. The site does not send them to the operator or to anyone else. The groups of entries are:
- Language and curriculum choice, plain-text setting: kg-locale, kg-path, kg-plain.
- Lesson and studio progress: kamangir:progress:*, kamangir:done, kamangir:lesson2:*, kamangir:recall, kamangir:facts, kamangir:grades:*.
- Stars: kamangir:stars, kamangir:stars:session.
- Study cards, practice checks and tasks: kamangir:school:v1, kamangir:school:seen:*, kamangir:school:tasks, kamangir:school:mute.
- Rooms, storms, expeditions and sound: kamangir:rooms, kamangir:storms, kamangir:expeditions, kamangir:narration-speed.
- Maths-language course and Speak Maths: kg.mlang.v1, kamangir:speak, kamangir:speak-tales, kg-lecture-*.
- Personal record and its log (in the browser database): kg-id-v1, kg-log-v1.
- Self-study courses (in the browser database): kamangir-university.
- Offline copy state: kg-offline-*, and the browser cache of the service worker.
No Cookies
The site sets no cookies.
Offline Copies
The downloadable offline copies (zip files) make no request to any outside server.
Hosting And Visit Counting
The pages are served by GitHub Pages through the Cloudflare network. Cloudflare Web Analytics, a counter that uses no cookies, is added by Cloudflare at the proxy and not by the code of this site. It counts visits by country. The host and Cloudflare may keep server logs that contain internet addresses; their retention periods are set by those providers. The site itself sends no personal data.
Live Classes
A live class starts only after you confirm that you are an adult or that a parent or guardian is present. The browser then contacts public relay and STUN servers, which can see your internet address. Class codes are not sent in clear. Nothing is recorded by the site.
How To Delete Your Data
Everything is on your device. A study card can be removed in the school office, and the button "Forget this device" on the My Record page deletes the personal record. To remove all other entries, clear the data of this website in your browser settings.
